Washed Arabica Coffee is also Known as Plantation Coffee. It is the finest among all the coffee beans. In the wet process, the fruit covering the seeds/beans is removed before they are dried. Coffee processed by the wet method is called wet processed or washed coffee. The wet method requires the use of specific equipment and substantial quantities of water.
• Sieve/Screen Size: Retained on Sieve Size 5.50 mm Oval (Screen 14 Oval) — Minimum 90% by weight.
• Moisture Content: Maximum 10.5%
• Triage / Broken Beans: ≤ 1% maximum.
• Black Seeds & Unwanted Matter: 0% / Nil.
• Visual Character & Permissible Defects: Single round-shaped ovals, highly uniform bean structure with no flat seeds.
• Cupping & Flavor Profile: Intensely aromatic, concentrated sweetness, with layered hints of black tea and orange zest.
• Acidity Profile: Lively, sharp, pronounced citric acidity.
• Commercial / Roasting Application: Specialty roasting lines targeting bright, concentrated acidity and clean finishes. [5, 6]
